Carbrook State School will be holding its Annual ANZAC Day Commemorative Parade on Friday, 26 April 2019 from 9:30am. All families are welcome to attend
on the day as a mark of respect for our Country’s brave serving and returned
service men and woman.
We would like to extend a special invite to current or past service
men or women to join their children/grandchildren/nieces or nephews to be our
honoured guests at this parade. Girl Guides and Scouts are welcome to attend
this parade and are asked to wear their official uniforms. This will be a very
formal parade where we will be expecting respectful acknowledgement of the
ANZACs to whom we are dedicating this special occasion. Each class will be
laying their own wreath and we welcome other wreaths to be laid.
Honoured and special guests, their families, staff and Year 6
students who are accompanied by a parent, are invited to an afternoon tea in the
resource centre after the Commemorative Parade.
On the way to the Resource Centre guests will travel through the
Walk of Honour where the names of past Carbrook Students and Residents that served
in the Army, Navy or Air Force will be on display for our reflection.
If you know of anyone who is currently serving in the armed forces
or of a past service person who attended our school or was a Carbrook resident,
please contact Amy Pettit via email firstname.lastname@example.org
