At Carbrook State School we value the importance of sports. Sport can teach values such as fairness, teambuilding, equality, discipline, inclusion, perseverance and respect.

Sport has the power to provide a universal framework for learning values, thus contributing to the development of skills needed for responsible citizenship.

Engagement in Sport, complements cognitive skills and gives students increasing amounts of responsibility, confidence and enhance their level of concentration and participation. 

At Carbrook State School children participate in the following sporting opportunties:

- Cross Country

- Junior and Senior Athletics Days

- Swimming/Water Awareness Programs

- Weekly Physical Activity Lessons

- District/Regional Trials

- Walkers Club - twice a week (whole school before school)

- Gala Sports Days  (Years 5 and 6) - competition with schools in cluster

- After School Sport Programs - NRL, Soccer, Basketball, AFL

District and regional trials

Students attending the district and regional trial should complete the permission forms in the standard permissions details booklet (PDF, 431KB).
