Why choose our school?

At Carbrook State School we are committed to providing a quality education for every child, where every child can experience success on a daily basis. An integral componenet of the culture of Carbrook State School is the 'Quality Habits Program' that focuses both student and teacher attention on the critical emotional and behavioural elements that promote effort and in turn personal success.

Carbrook State School will offer you:

  • a warm and supportive environment in which your child can grow in confidence and resilience
  • a focussed curriculum program that develops a student’s potential to their maximum potential
  • teachers who are committed to excellence in the learning and teaching process and who value the capacity of each child to grow through effective learning and teaching in a digitally enhanced educational environment
  • fair, firm and consistent discipline that ensures that the teaching and learning process is not compromised
  • high expectations in all aspects of uniform, behaviour and academic progression
  • effective channels of communication ensuring all parents/guardians are well informed of all Carbrook’s events, activities and student learning
  • opportunities for parent involvement in all aspects of school based activities
  • an evolving and engaging digital learning environment.

Carbrook State School is committed to highly effective curriculum delivery and ensures the rigorous instruction of the Australian Curriculum Learning Areas. We strive to meet the instructional needs of our students through well resourced and engaging educational programs. Professional learning and capacity building for our staff at Carbrook State is always prioritised to ensure that staff are informed of the most current and evidenced based teaching and learning practices in order to improve student learning outcomes.

Carbrook State School enjoys celebrating the learning journey of our students through school wide ‘Celebrations of Learning’ that occur at the end of each term. These take the form of both academic and extra curricula demonstrations. These events confirm our commitment to ensuring our community partnerships are strengthened and that parents are welcomed partners in their children’s learning.

We encourage parents and carers to enhance their children’s education by developing productive relationships with the school. Maintaining open and respectful communication between school and home is a key aspect.
